Joseph, Jesus’ earthly father, is the epitome of what a disciple should be. He, as the Magi also do, responds quickly and obediently to the word of God. Many people want discipleship on their own terms, in ways that promote their own safety and prosperity, but we must be completely obedient to God no matter where that obedience takes us.
